Terrence G.
Simpson joined the law firm of
Kelly, Kelleher, Reilly & Simpson in
1983 and has been a partner since
1985. Before joining the firm, he
worked for the Internal Revenue
service at its national office in
Washington D.C. His areas of legal
expertise include estate planning
as well as corporate and business
law. He teaches estate planning
in the Masters Program at Bryant
College. He represents numerous
individuals and small businesses in
business and estate planning
matters. Mr. Simpson is a former
solicitor for the Town of South
Kingstown and currently handles
criminal prosecutions for the Towns
of North Kingstown and South
Kingstown. He has argued
successfully before the Rhode Island
Supreme Court and the First Circuit
Court of Appeals.
Mr. Simpson is a graduate of
Providence College, Suffolk
University, and Georgetown
University, where he received a
Master's of Law degree in taxation.
He is a member of the Rhode Island
Bar Association and has served on
its probate and trust, municipal law
and taxation committees. He is also
a member of the Washington County
Bar Association. Mr. Simpson serves
on the Board of Directors of the
South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce,
the South Kingstown School Funds
Trustees, and the Contemporary
Theatre Company. He enjoys acting in
community theatre, hiking and
skiing.
